Steve Wilson, owner and lead investigator at Portland Investigators, has been a licensed PI since 2003. Steve began his career working on juvenile delinquency and dependency cases before transitioning to adult criminal defense and civil litigation. 

Steve has worked for the defense in some of the highest profile cases in Oregon, including many state and federal death penalty cases. Steve is a member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association, the Multnomah Bar Association, Defense Investigators of Oregon, and is the co-chair of the OCDLA Investigator's Committee.

Prior to his career in investigation, Steve taught college writing and was a freelance journalist. He is the author of the book, The Boys From Little Mexico, published by Beacon Press. 

Steve lives with his wife and two sons in Portland, and enjoys live music, skiing, windsurfing, and other outdoor adventures.
